Basketball camps

Every school holiday brings a camp. Every offer that’s coming up is listed here, in date order.

Whenever school is out in Berlin, there’s a basketball camp to go to. When a new one is announced, it shows up on this page with dates, venue, price and a link to sign up. Sign-up and payment run through the organiser. Once a camp is over, it drops off the list.

A camp for players from U12 to U22 who want to work on their game. Current level does not matter. What counts is wanting to learn and training with focus.

Oskar plays pro basketball for Berlin Dreams. Long has coached players at every level, including college and national-team players and NBA players. Both bring that into training built around each player’s development.

Lots of coaches, small groups split by age and level, so everyone gets work that fits and personal feedback. Younger and older players train side by side, watch each other and learn from each other.

On the floor: ball handling, shooting, finishing at the rim, defense and athletics. In game-like situations, players learn to read and create advantages and make good decisions. Mindset is part of it too: how to deal with mistakes, pressure and setbacks.

Planned breaks give players time to take in what they learn and stay sharp all week. A surprise guest drops by at some point.

This is a training camp for kids and teens who want to get better, not holiday childcare.

Bring Sports clothes, indoor shoes and a basketball. Drinks and snacks for the breaks, too.

Lunch at the TU Berlin Mensa, fruit and snacks during breaks, and a camp shirt included.

For players who want to take the next step and are ready to work hard for it. Open to U12 to U14 players from Oberliga and Landesliga teams, and to DBV’s advanced U11 teams.

Groups are much smaller than in the regular mini camps, so the coaches can work on each player’s strengths and on technical details.

Ball handling, shooting, athletics and understanding the game are at the centre, with extra work on decisions in real game situations: reading the play faster and using your skills at higher speed and under pressure.

Players are expected to bring focus and the will to improve. Team spirit, fairness and respect stay part of it.

Bring Your own basketball if you have one, a big water bottle, healthy snacks, and a card game or book for the quiet break after lunch.
