Leo Hollen’s game-winner: Berlin Dreams beat SC Rasta Vechta 2, 82–80

Down to the wire, but never in doubt. Berlin Dreams Men’s 1 beat SC Rasta Vechta 2 82–80 at Sömmeringhalle on Saturday, 3 October 2026 — a head-to-head test against one of the top teams in the 1. Regionalliga Nord, settled by a game-winner from Leo Hollen and a defensive stop in the last seconds.

The Dreams set the tone early: 24–18 after the first quarter, 40–33 at half-time. The ball moved — 18 assists against Vechta’s 11, five of them from Tidiane Ly — and the defence moved with it. Vechta went 4-of-26 from three.

Vechta never went away. The third quarter finished 26–25 and kept the gap at eight, 66–58. The visitors took the fourth 22–16 and made it a one-possession game. With the pressure on, the Dreams stayed calm: Leo Hollen’s bucket put them ahead, and the defence got the stop at the other end.

Hollen ran the paint all afternoon. 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting, 3-of-3 from the line, eight rebounds — six on the offensive glass — and an efficiency of 27, all off the bench. Throw it down, big fella.

Ben Lenhardt added 20 with three threes. Tidiane Ly scored 11. Aleksandar Dimitrijević and Phillip Daubner had 10 each, Dimitrijević with nine rebounds and Daubner with three threes. Mykhailo Raspopov went 4-of-4 at the line. As a team, the Dreams won the boards 43–27, 16 of them offensive.

Men’s 1 move to 2–1. On to the next: away at TSG Westerstede 2 on Saturday, 10 October, at 18:00.
