You win some, you lose some — and this one stings. Berlin Dreams Men’s 1 lost 81–82 to VfL Stade at Sömmeringhalle on Saturday, 17 October 2026. Leo Hollen put the Dreams ahead with three seconds left. Christian Cook answered at the buzzer.
Stade came in unbeaten at the top of the 1. Regionalliga Nord and led 19–15 after the first quarter. The Dreams took the second 24–21 and went in down one at half-time, 39–40. A 27–24 third quarter put them in front, 66–64.
The fourth stayed tight to the end. With three seconds on the clock, Hollen scored to make it 81–80 — almost a replay of his game-winner against SC Rasta Vechta 2 two weeks earlier. Stade had one possession left, and Cook made it count. The first loss of the season on the court for the Dreams.
Hollen led the Dreams with 19 points on 8-of-12 inside and 3-of-4 at the line, plus eight rebounds, two steals and a block. Urs Albrecht scored 17 off the bench in his first game of the season: 2-of-4 from three and 5-of-6 at the line.

Ben Lenhardt had 11 with three steals. Aleksandar Dimitrijević had nine points, eight rebounds and four assists. Caylen Johnson scored nine with five assists; Tidiane Ly added five assists.

The Dreams won the boards 43–41 and went to the line 27 times to Stade’s nine, but made 16. Stade made 11 threes to the Dreams’ seven. Cook finished with 33 points, six of them threes. Marvin Boadu added 15 and eight rebounds.
What a game, though. Sömmeringhalle was loud all night. Men’s 1 are 3–2. Next is another home night: KK Nikola Tesla MTEL on Saturday, 31 October, at 18:00. The return game in Stade is on 30 January 2027.
